Our hotel lies only 200m from Lake Wolfgang in Abersee/St.Gilgen and has much to offer in all respects.
The rural location is marked by beneficial peace and invites one to make excursions in nature and the nearby mountains. The bond with nature is also seen in the intimate warmth and history of the hotel. Gather energy and again find the time for yourself.
From a shop
to a hotel
In 1925 our grandparents, Ferdinand and Maria Huber, acquired the house No. 71 from the Hillebrand shopkeepers. A veranda was built on and a new room for visitors was added year for year. But there was very soon too little space for the "summer holidaymakers" who came. Thus in 1954 a new guesthouse was constructed opposite with 14 guest rooms. Many amusing songs were to be heard in the following years because for almost three decades the house band, the "Ferry Huber Combo", played every Saturday for dancers. In 1970 the son Ferdinand and his wife Gertraud took over the business and in 1976 the guesthouse was extended with a modern elf-service market with comfortable holiday apartments. In 1983 the decision was made to relocate the "country inn" closer to the lake and the building of a new hotel was begun ...

Bathing area
Together with the intimate Huber family atmosphere and the wonderful location on the lake, the Seehotel Huber also offers a child-friendly bathing area and jetty. The spacious sunbathing lawn at our own bathing area is equipped with recliners and sunshades. The bathing area is an easy ten-minute walk (about 250m.)

A delicious breakfast from the buffet and partly served, amidst lush green meadows and the mountains of the Wolfgangsee Valley. We place great value on products from our region: dairy products from the Salzburg area, local sausage and cheese products, organic bread & pastries from the house bakery, homemade jams, honey from the local beekeeper, aromatic coffee. The crystal-clear water of Lake Wolfgang, like the tap water, is of drinking water quality. A breakfast so tasty that you'll want to take your time enjoying it. This is how your holiday day begins, one you'll fondly remember, in a cozy atmosphere at the breakfast table.

The environmentally aware guest demands real quality - not only in the furnishing of the accommodation - but also in the catering. As a bearer of the Austrian Eco-Label we meet this responsibility. The foodstuffs in our kitchen are predominantly from organic farms and appropriate animal husbandry. We purchase predominantly seasonal produce from regional suppliers to be able to offer you the best, and that with a good conscience.
